THE BOARD
The standards behind the credentials.
The Board supports professional certification in protocol by defining what qualified professionals should know, how they should perform, and how they keep developing. Certification here reflects verified achievement, not course completion alone.

OUR STANDARDS PHILOSOPHY
More Than What You Know
Protocol professionals are evaluated not only by what they know, but by how they perform when judgment, discretion, cultural awareness, precision, leadership, and adaptability are required. The Board’s standards reflect the full nature of protocol work: technical knowledge, professional conduct, applied decision-making, and the ability to serve effectively in high-visibility environments.
GOVERNANCE
Oversight and administration
The Board operates as a professional standards body supporting the integrity and continued development of the CPP™ and CPL™ programs, with guidance intended to support fairness, consistency, professional relevance, and global credibility.
ADMINISTERING AGENCY
The Global Center for Protocol Development (GCPD) administers the certification program — applications, examinations, records, communications, and administrative processes, in accordance with the standards the Board maintains.
